This is a reversible under-bust vest that laces up at the sides and on the front. I made this to wear for renaissance faires so I could get two unique looks out of one clothing item.
One side of the side panels without the grommets in place for the lacing.
The reverse of the side panel with all the grommets in place along the sides and the shoulder connection.
The first side of the back piece for the vest. This side is made from a gray pleather. It has burgundy bias tape along the edges. As well as grommets along the sides and shoulders to lace it to the side panels, and boning on either side of the grommets.
This is the reverse side of the back piece for the vest. It is made from a burgundy cotton fabric with a mesh spider web fabric laid on top. The grommets are not in place yet but the boning is.
The final outfit with the gray side of the vest. the pieces have been tied together with a burgundy cording. The inspiration for this outfit was a dragon theme. My hair was meant to look like the flames and the gray vest was meant to look like the smoke from the flames.
The final outfit with the burgundy and mesh spiderweb side of the vest. It has been tied together with a slightly smaller version of the burgundy cording. The inspiration for this look was more of a witch theme with the spiderwebs along the vest.
