The final look. On top of the coat and cummerbund I also made the sword that is around my waist.

The front of the bodice of the coat dress. it later got clasps attached to each side of the front so I could keep it closed

The backside of the bodice. This emphasizes the shape of the shoulder details.

The fully sewn costume. I made both the coat dress and the cummerbund/corset. The coat is made out of a textured velvet and is lined with a pleated silver/blue ombre fabric to look like the ocean waves as it flows. the cummerbund is made out of a fake leather material.
